Website redesign: what works stays, the rest is rebuilt.

From your current website I keep what works and rebuild the rest. Domain and email stay untouched. And you see the new homepage before you pay.

01The problem

What an outdated website costs.

A

Outdated at first glance

Neon-green heading, opening hours in yellow, notes in red, everything centred: many websites still look like they did on day one. Visitors draw conclusions about the business from that, whether they are right or not.

Excerpt from an older website: menu in capitals, neon-green heading “! INFO ! Wann / Wo / Was”, opening hours in yellow, contact times in red; company name, places and images blurred

B

Google looks at the phone version

Google uses the mobile version of a website for search. Whatever is missing there, Google doesn’t know about. Here, as an example, my own site, built for phone and desktop.

The solution

That’s what a redesign is for.

Your existing website is the starting point. Content that works moves across. Design and technology are rebuilt.

02The rebuild

Building on what’s already there.

01

What stays – what’s new

You don’t start from zero. And nobody has to remember new email addresses.

02

Not a day without a website

Your current website stays online until the new one is ready. In the meantime the preview runs at its own address. Then we switch over.

03Process

How a redesign works.

  1. First contact

You give me the address of your current website. If you book directly, I’ll get in touch.

  2. Review

I look at your current website: what works and what’s missing.

  3. The finished preview

I build the new homepage. You see it in the browser and compare for yourself.

  4. Feedback and order

If you like it, you commission me at a fixed price. If not, you get no invoice.

  5. Build-out and switch-over

The remaining pages are built, then we switch over. The new site runs at your existing address.

05Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Your question isn’t here? Message me on WhatsApp, in English.

Do I keep my email addresses?

Yes. Nothing changes for domain and email – only the website is new.

Do I have to rewrite everything?

No. I keep what works. The rest I rewrite from your input.

What if I don’t like the new site?

Then everything stays as it is: your current website simply keeps running.

Can I use my old photos?

Yes, if they fit. Whether a few new photos of the business are worthwhile is something we discuss in writing.
